Yesterday I did some walks around Viroinval starting traditionally at Tienne Breumont. This year seems to be a very dry season since very little indication of orchids and not so much butterfly action compared to last year ( I might be a little early in the season though). Some small skippers (Red underwing and Grizzled) were present but not abundantly flying or (better) sitting on Salad burnet . Little blue wasn't present on the traditional place, but flying surprizingly in large numbers elsewhere.
Later the day, astonishing numbers of rare butterflies were flying around on various places: great to watch, but difficult to capture on photo with these extremely hot temperatures for the time of the season.
I enjoyed the company !
